Who here has found an awesome Halloween prop from garbage picking?

I found an old chair that I turned into my electric chair.
I also got some scrap wood, which I built my coffin out of.

Almost all my wood came from other peoples trash. 2 years ago I found in the trash 3 full body women maniquins stand and all I was like a kid on x-mas when I found those my fav. though is garage sales people sell stuff for almost nothing. Now you got me excited I'm going to check the paper and go to some garage sales. I'll check the trash while I'm out.

Oh when a town near mine did their annual clean up week, I actually found Halloween masks, & costumes. Talk about orgasmic!!!

ok so I went to some garage sales yesterday and found a airblown spider for $5. also in a alley I found 3 sheets of plywood and some 2x2's

Sorry I meant to post a reply but my dog hit my arm and messed me up.
You guys should check out Freecycle online. When we built a pirate ship in our driveway a few years ago we got all the paneling for free on Freecycle.

I do the freecycle thing too. And craigslist. both are very helpful.

well it wasnt from the garbage but they were going to throw it out:
one large 10x4 plastic sheeting..in between a 1/4 " and 1/2 "thick....( will be my coffin cover for a table this yr)
2 old time wooden chairs (for gypsy room)
some kind of paper type aluminum sheeting (good for fake fire reflection)
other stuff from curbys:
tons of couch cushions

QUESTION; whats up with couch cushions? what do you do with them?

Ok lets see.. my pillars , tombstones , the ruins hands , bats, fake horrorduerves with plate and pedestal , the "rocks" on my skullhead fireplace are all made out of couch cushion foam
I am working on a giant snake head
I believe they are all in my pics.
