Styrofoam (polystyrene)

Does anyone know where styrofoam is available (CHEAP) in the Chicago area? I am looking for 4ft. x 8ft. sheets, preferably 2 inches thick. I would love to ultimately find a 4ft x 4ft x 4ft block of styrofoam, but I can use the sheets to eventually build a block.

hey Tim. Brand new, you've always got Menards, Home Depot, & lowes.
Sometimes you can go dumpster diving behind buisness's, and get the packing styrofoam. ( not the noodles) the kind for like TV's, & other electronics.
Or you can ask places to call you when they have some, before they toss it.
I just threw some away from a box which was about 1X2 feet. sorry.

Thanks, I've been to Home Depot, etc., but I was hoping to find greatly discounted sheets of styrofoam. Its my understanding that every now and then, Home Depot, Menards and Lowes will have a pallet of damaged styrofoam for a very cheap price, but I haven't been able to get lucky so far. I found a GREAT link to build a "well" out of styrofoam for a scene from the movie, "The Ring", so thats what I'm looking for it for. Thanks again!
